Bubble Eye Goldfishby ~MoonWhing

I hit a huge wave of art block, so I thought I'd try something different for a change.

There have been some amazing fish art making the rounds recently. ([link]) So I thought I'd try one of my own.

Fish are a new thing for me (that's probably painfully obvious) but I'm happy with the outcome. It was a great chance to play around with colors and for once I didn't run away from shading.

It's adorable in a weird way. The coloring is absolutely gorgeous. But does the fish really have those giant bubble things? It looks like he's holding his breath...

Lovely. A picture of the artist's mind at this moment. Sometimes "block" for writers and artists only means we're struggling to focus on what we think we should, rather than allowing our minds to enpty their contents. Visual arts are great for this -- revealing the "colours" of the mind at any given moment. This is a golden example!
