We think this tree got hit when the thunder storm was right on top of us, when we heard the loud crack. Haven't had a storm like that in a long time.

It looks a bit different when you look at the tree in person, but isn't it neat how it looks like the tree has a face? I did a bit of a double take when I uploaded the pictures from the camera and saw it.

I have to admit...there does seem to be a face there.

Heh, wouldn't mind seeing the ones in Princess Mononoke. They were kind of cute. Could do without the misfortune that would bring, however.^^;

But yeah, I only remember the story 'cause I have a DVD of it lying around that I can watch whenever.^^;
