We think this tree got hit when the thunder storm was right on top of us, when we heard the loud crack. Haven't had a storm like that in a long time.
It looks a bit different when you look at the tree in person, but isn't it neat how it looks like the tree has a face? I did a bit of a double take when I uploaded the pictures from the camera and saw it.
